Mandy Corbett

Mandy started her studies in South Africa completing a Bachelor of Physical Education, majoring in Human Movement Science and Psychology, and then completed a Master of Arts (Psychology) before going on to complete a Master of Psychology (Sport & Exercise) at USQ, Toowoomba, Australia.

Mandy then moved to England and shifted her focus to the psychology of pain, completing a PhD that focused on the psychosocial implications of living with chronic non-specific low back pain.  Upon moving permanently to Australia in 2008, Mandy engaged in research work in pain management at Royal North Shore Hospital and then Greenwich Hospital, alongside lecturing in Sport Psychology at UTS.

Mandy then went on to obtain full membership status with The Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC), engaging in work as a Rehabilitation and Vocational Counsellor in the Return-to-Work space, before joining the Northern Pain Centre team in 2022.
