Who to Refer
Our Pain Medicine Specialists are highly experienced and specialise in spinal and neuropathic pain. We also have a broad depth of expertise in treating a wide range of pain conditions. Our practitioners begin with a thorough assessment of the patient’s condition and then create an individualised treatment plan. We offer a broad depth of services including interventional procedures, medication management and multidisciplinary assessment and management.
Commonly referred conditions include chronic back, neck and knee pain. Unfortunately, many people “live with” treatable pain for a variety of reasons. For instance, they may feel that their pain is not severe enough to consider spinal surgery, or they’ve been misinformed and believe that surgery is unlikely to help their particular condition. However, with advances in technology and treatment options, we’re able to offer procedures and management options for these patients. We also offer treatment when spinal surgery is complicated by persistent pain.
Our goal is to provide prompt assessment and management that is in line with evidence based best practice.
Our practice is at the forefront of pain management innovations. With research and clinical trials our practitioners work tirelessly to discover groundbreaking techniques in the treatment of pain.
We are recruiting patients for clinical audit of the following procedures:
- Duration or pain relief following radiofrequency facet joint denervation for back and neck pain.
- Reduction in pain and disability following spinal cord stimulation for persistent pain following spinal surgery.
- Duration of pain relief following radiofrequency genicular nerve denervation for knee pain.
- Response to pulsed radiofrequency treatment of the lumbar dorsal root ganglion for lumbar radicular pain.
If you have any questions about potential patients that we may be able to assist or would like to organise a practice visit by one of our practitioners, please contact us on (02) 9439 6456 or email@example.com
