Marianne Plahn

Marianne Plahn is a Clinical Psychologist, who specialises in personalised cognitive behavioural psychotherapy and brain based treatment programs to improve psychological and physical recovery of patients for a wide range of psychological conditions.

Marianne’s clinical experience was gained in 30 years of nursing, university teaching and psychology practice based in university teaching hospitals, specialty clinics, private practice as well as the Northern Pain Centre at North Shore Private Hospital.

Marianne’s qualifications from Macquarie University include: Batchelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology and Masters of Clinical Psychology. She is registered with AHPRA to practice as a Psychologist in Australia and she is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the Australian Society College of Clinical Psychologists. She is a registered Medicare and Work Cover Provider.

Marianne enhances patient recovery by including tailored strategies involving mindfulness, deep relaxation / hypnosis, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and neuro- feedback/ bio-feedback training.

Marianne conducts standardized psychometric, intellectual / vocational, qEEG and personality assessments to determine levels of trauma, intellectual and cognitive brain functioning and promote patient rehabilitation.
